Ask the coaches, they don't have sweats, nor rain gear! It's hard to believe, just glad it didn' train hard!

By the way, the reporter was told the truth, just ask!

Whatever it takes ASU to get it right...This reporter obviously has his facts wrong to say the school doesn't have sweatsuits! Typical of a bootleg reporter to garner interest in his post.....I wonder if ASU knows this reporter has posted this ludicrous statement as he is definitely guilty of slander and the school should take action against him.

All This Winning these schools doing in the SWAC,MEAC,CIAA,SIAC,don't have much value at the end of the year without a legitiment playoff,or bowl system put in place, instead of 1or 2 spots for all these schools.

Braves Nation, everybody take a minute to relax, and think a minute about the important issues, that make a program a success. You fans don't come out in support, unless these kids 'Winning Games'.A successful program cost millions to run, support, and maintain year to year.We forget these young men, women who looking around for the support, school spirit, and amendities that come wit the college experince.Alumni,Fans,Boosters,Alcorn supporters,if want to see winning sports, and recieve the alloclades of t.v.coverage,local news.and worldwide attention for the program as a whole, invest "yourself" at each game.Money has no value without the support on gameday. When fans start packing the stadium 20,000 strong then the kids will really be inspired to play for their school, because they will see the fans greeting them before the game, cheering loud during the game, and after as well.Traveling also apart of the "human investment".Attend some road games, and pack their vistors section, kids love seeing, hearing their fans on the road.In sports sponsors, city organizers, always looking at how a school supports their student athletes from the stands.Pack the stands, the star players will come, also will the money to make Alcorn a recognizable program, which in turn benefits the whole sports objective. That money they talking about raising for a buyout, spend that on tickets for the Captiol City Classic,I guaratee there are fans in the area who can't afford tickets what a great gift for some fans.Remember the world looking at our attendance in the stands, the stands always tell the story about a programs support,or lack there of.Lack of the "human investment",the bigger problem moreso than the coach.

It's time to give Norfolk State it's due. The polls are bias toward the SWAC teams even though they haven't played anybody of any caliber. Besides beating the weaker teams in their lower division who have they played? Norfolk State's only losses came at the hands of Bethune Cookman who is ranked no less than 7th in all the black college polls and a nationally ranked West Virginia team who were 14 in the country at the time NSU played them. They gave them a scare for a half.

"Did anybody — even the loyalists who make up any university alumni foundation — think Alcorn was going to overcome years of mediocrity (to put it mildly) and rush past entrenched SWAC East powers like Jackson State, Alabama A&M and Alabama State … in 10 months?"

I couldn't have said it better Nick.
